Pre-Kindergarten Reading Program

Play Date is now offering a getting-ready-to-read phonics program for 3-5 year olds!

Mrs. Jennifer Manchester is an experienced tutor and has worked with ages 4 up to 5th grade. She has a lot of experience with phonetic awareness and early reading and has worked with Fort Bragg schools for the past few years. She also works for Eastover school district.

I have seen her conducting her first few classes, and I have to tell you, she’s fun! She keeps the kids engaged, has great learning games that work, and most importantly, has endless patience! She even has things to send home with the children so they can practice what they learned at home.

The BEST thing about this class is it’s FREE! Thanks to her VERY reasonable rates, you only pay the normal Play Date fee for that hour. Then, if you wish, your children can play with us after class while you enjoy your day!

The classes are twice a week for six weeks. You sign up for all twelve classes, and when that block is done, you can sign up for the next one if you wish. Due to the learning curve, we will not put latecomers in the class, but we will gladly sign them up for the next block! They are held every Monday and Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. To ensure each child gets the attention she needs, there is only space for about ten children each block, so call to reserve your space. Arts and Crafts Classes

Hooray! FREE arts and crafts classes at Play Date! They are every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. As many as 16 children can attend each class, but you should call to reserve your space each week. I’ve seen some of her projects, and they are great. Even my 2 year olds can do them, and Mom would be happy to display them. Only the normal Play Date fee applies, and your kids can play with us afterwards! Come let your kids explore their creative side!
